Functional Tester

Within the ongoing digital evolution of a major public-sector environment, we are looking for a Functional Tester who combines analytical thinking, precision, and collaboration.
You will play a key role in validating application developments and ensuring the reliability, quality, and compliance of delivered solutions.
Working closely with the Test Manager, project teams, business experts, and development teams, you will contribute to the successful delivery of impactful digital transformation initiatives within a complex and meaningful environment.
What you’ll do
Test preparation
Understand business needs based on existing functional analyses
Design and document functional test cases aligned with business requirements
Define and prepare relevant test datasets
Describe and validate expected outcomes
Test execution
Perform functional, integration, interoperability, and non-regression testing
Participate actively in testing campaigns
Support business experts during test execution when required
Ensure developments meet functional and quality expectations
Defect management & follow-up
Analyze and verify test results
Identify, document, and track defects and inconsistencies
Register bugs and non-conformities in Jira
Follow up on corrections implemented by development teams
Validate delivered fixes and ensure issue resolution
Who you are
You have at least 5 years of experience as a Functional Tester
You have strong experience in writing and executing test cases
You have a solid understanding of testing methodologies and the software development lifecycle
You are analytical, structured, and detail-oriented
You work autonomously while maintaining strong collaboration with both business and technical teams
You communicate clearly and efficiently with different stakeholders
You are comfortable documenting tests, results, and defects in a clear and structured way
Knowledge of SQL and databases is considered a strong asset
Familiarity with identity management systems and national registry environments is a plus
Experience with test automation and/or Java is considered an asset
